Calendar of Events​

July 13
- American Legion Honeyford Memorial Post 110 will celebrate its 100th anniversary at the Catskill Elks Lodge, 45 North Jefferson Avenue in Catskill from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a centennial ceremony at noon, 100 years of militaria items will be on exhibit along with antique cars and motorcycles, free hamburgers and hot dogs. Music by Guilty Pleasure. Admission is free and open to all ages.

July 17
- The Wheels of Time car club will hold a cruise in the country at GNH Lumber, 11513 Route 32 in Greenville at 5 p.m. All types of vehicles are welcome.

July 20-21
- A village-wide yard sale will be held in Coxsackie from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Maps of participating homes will be available at the Coxsackie Village Hall, 119 Mansion Street in Coxsackie.

July 21
- The Town of Cairo Police Department will hold its annual D.A.R.E. golf tournament at Blackhead Mountain Lodge & Country Club, 67 Crow’s Nest Road in Round Top. Admission includes dinner and prizes. Call 518-622-3157 to register.

August 17
- The annual Women’s Expo will be held at St. Theresa’s, 5188 Route 23 in Windham from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission by donation. Proceeds will benefit the Greene County Domestic Violence Shelter.

August 21
- A rabies clinic for Greene County dogs, cats and ferrets will be held at the Cairo Firehouse, Railroad Avenue in Cairo from 6-8 p.m. Please bring a record of your pet’s previous vaccination to receive a three-year certificate. If no record is shown, your pet will be given a one-year vaccination. Please call 518-719-3600 if you are bringing a ferret or have any questions. Donations appreciated.

August 21-25
- Greene County will host the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall at Historic Catskill Point, 1 Main Street in Catskill. This replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC will be open for public viewing 24 hours a day starting Thursday, August 22 at 11 a.m. until the closing ceremony on Sunday, August 25. Local chapters of the American Legion Riders and the Protectors LEMC, as well as local law enforcement and other first responders will escort it to the site on August 21. Anyone is welcome to join the ride.
